It's been
awhile now. I promised myself I'd give up my soul if I ever felt the urge to
write to you, to write about you.
I'm writing
right now and I regret nothing. I realized you made me lose my soul a long time
ago. Maybe you just stole it, I cannot be sure.
You made me
forget what it means to feel safe. I can no longer sleep without dreaming about
the ones who stopped breathing. You made me forget what it means to feel sane.
You made me forget what it means to feel.
You make me
live with no space for hope. You make me feel petrified, deserted and mad. I'm
always scared. I’m always afraid of losing people. I could not bear to lose
anyone else, as I lost so many, as I lost you. I still remember the way it felt
when I thought about living without you. And now that I do, I'm still so frightened
that I jump from a place to another, so I never have the time to grow roots.
You made me
this lonely. You make me hurt people.
It's like I'm in some kind of black-market, the heart's business. I steal them,
I use them for a while and I leave them for the wild animals to tear apart. You
made me this cold. You made me this heartless.
After all
this time, I don't know if I will always love you or if I will never love
again. I've been wandering around piles of warm bodies. They are not you. No
matter how many right people I know, I always go back to the black cave you
made me build.
Does anyone
care where I've been? Do you care about the places I go, the senseless beds I
sleep in, the tasteless lips I kiss, the empty eyes I stare at? Do you care
about me at all? If you did, you'd just save me or free me.
